2006

Indeed 2006 was an year of the people , but we cannot say that 2006 was for the people and by the people as it was the politicians and the private capitalists who ruled the roost throughout the year 2006. The citizens' Activism , the Right to Information, Blogging, the Judicial Activism, etc helped the people to force the powers-be to correct the wrongs. However, what made it possible is a vigilant media which acted as a catalyst in the people's rising. The year 2007 promises more rise in the activism and what is in store is nightmare and more nightmare for the hitherto callous and irresponsible politicians and the bureaucrats.
