The single most beneficiary of the new Indian liberated women baptized by the unbridled freedom is not women as has been made out to be . Ironically, it is the men who have immensely benefited from this metamorphosis of the Indian women in aping their western counterparts who burnt their bras in the sixties. At the beck and call of Indian men is everything they have always dreamt of. They have in their bed the sexually liberated women who have little qualms on being on the wrong side of the sexual liberation. The Indian men can now boast of having the additional income from the working women who are doubly burdened with the home-making as well as the work place responsibilities. Conversely, the Indian men are able to enjoy the fruits of being a conventional Indian and at the same time at the giving end of the changed social order even as the Indian women continue to be at the receiving end of the social order.
